If you enjoy having a a beverage ever so often, keep your money out of the casino if you plan to do your consuming in a casino. I am serious. Leave your pocketbook, your money belt, and keep all money, plastic credit and checkbooks at home. Only take whatever money you anticipate to use on alcohol, tipping and whatever pocket change you expect to burn and keep the rest behind.

Contemptuous? Absolutely not. Realistic more like. You can have a profit following a drunken night out with your comrades and be blessed enough to hit a long toss at a hot craps game. Don’t forget that story seeing that it’s as short-lived as it gets if you continually drink and bet. These activities simply don’t mix.

Leaving your money back at the hotel might be a little dramatic, but precautionary actions for dramatic behavior is required. If you play to profit, then do not drink and bet. If you can afford to be wasteful with your cash without a concern, then consume all the complimentary booze your stomach can handle, but don’t carry credit cards and cheques to throw into the mix of chasing squanderings after your drunken head loses all the cash!
